Knowing your eye shape is the shortcut to lashes and makeup that flatter you. The difference between round eyes and almond eyes isn't about the corners of your eyes. - Can you see white above or below your iris? You have round eyes.
- Do your upper and lower lids touch or slightly cover the top and bottom of your iris, with the eye tapering at the ends? You have almond eyes.

Most people are a combination
Round and almond describe one feature: how your iris sits. Other features describe the rest of your eye, so you might have hooded almond eyes, upturned almond eyes or downturned round eyes. That's normal, and it's why lash maps matter more than labels.
- Outer corners: do they tilt up (upturned), down (downturned) or sit level?

Lash mapping for round eyes
Most eyes take six Gossamer® lashes per eye (five for small eyes, seven for large). For round eyes, the goal is balance: lift and length without exaggerating the roundness.
Do
Start short at the inner corner, lengthen toward the outer iris, then taper slightly at the end.
Don't
Use a strong doll-eye map with peak length over the pupil. It can exaggerate roundness.

How to make round eyes look more almond-shaped
- Cat-eye lash map. Put the longest Gossamers toward the outer corner. Curl is the most versatile everyday option, Fluffy gives a soft, full cat eye, and Tulip gives a sharp, spiked one. Shop foxy-eye lashes.
- Winged liner. Even a small wing past the lash line elongates the eye.
- Shadow up and out. Keep your darkest shade at the outer corner and blend it upward toward the end of the brow.
- Highlight the center of the lid, not the inner corner.
How to make almond eyes look rounder
- Doll-eye lash map. Put the longest lashes at the center and taper toward both corners. A 2–4mm difference is enough for a subtle look; for a bigger one, try Stardust.
- Brighten the inner corner with a light shadow or liner.
- Keep shadow centered, darkest above the middle of the lash line and symmetrical on both sides.
